Backpacks: The New Shoulder Bag

building block back pack 2

With the Back To School season in full effect, I figure it is the perfect time to discuss the backpack trend.  Recently, the backpack has become the new shoulder bag, and not just for those hauling textbooks and pencil cases.

Of course all backpacks can’t be as perfect as the 2-in-1 backpack and shoulder bag by Building Block (shown above), but there are a few brands that are offering up some worthy contenders. To keep your look more stylish and less “school girl”, seek out leather or leather-trimmed backpacks that look just as good when carried as a satchel or shoulder bag as it does being toted around on your back. Unique hardware, supple leather, printed fabrics and drawstrings are just a few of the details that will take a typical backpack to the next level.

Not yet sold on the trend? Well, click through the ones below and see if you don’t find one that peaks your interest.
