Fashion Focus is considered the unofficial Fashion Week in Chicago. It is the one week out of the year where you can expect a slew of runway and trunk shows, fashion presentations and industry workshops to quench your thirst for local fashion.
This year, two of my favorite individuals in the industry are coming together to host an epic event at the tail-end of the week.
Redgi Woods (remember Closet Conversations episode 3?) and Sally Schwartz (remember Closet Conversations episode 1?) have decided to get in on the Fashion Focus fun by providing a unique fashion experience. Vintage Apres Noir is slated to be an unforgettable fashion event that will consist of a runway show of vintage/vintage-inspired looks from different eras, vendor shopping (for VIP ticket holders), libations, networking and just an all around good time. Word on the street is that there will be some stellar live performances as well.
Participating designers and vendors include ReFINDefined, Elyse Vieni Marie, Lipstick Dinosaur, Dethrose Vintage and Goorin Bros. You know… pretty much the creme de la creme of local fashion, both vintage and modern.
