Last week I had the pleasure of co-hosting a Bobbi Brown makeup party at Bloomingdale’s in Chicago (900 N Michigan Ave) with Yanira Garza of Manolos, Manicures, and This Mom.It was an evening filled with lovely ladies, beautiful makeup, and delicious treats.
The star of the night was the new Desert Twilight Collection for Fall 2012. Inspired by the desert sun light at dusk, this collection is filled with warm shades of pink and bronzey nudes with a pop of turquoise. Transitioning your makeup from summer to fall can often times be difficult, not with this collection. With warm plums and shimmery pink shades, with a hint of bronze, this collection makes that transition seamless.
The ladies were able to browse the collection and get their own look by one of the Bobbi Brown artists. The looks of the night varied from sultry and smoky to fun and bright. There was also some education given on skin care and finding the right skin care routine for your skin type. I have a soft spot in my heart for skin care and found myself circling that area more than a few times.
No one left empty handed thanks to the ladies at Bobbi Brown, yet a lot of us couldn’t help but pick up some extras to take home. I’m most excited about the Skin Foundation I picked up (I’m in the color Natural 4). I’m always on the hunt for great foundations and I must say, this light to medium coverage foundation is already creeping up to the top of my list. It is definitely buildable because it feels so natural and lightweight on the skin. I love it!
It was so lovely to see some familiar faces and meet some new beautiful ladies. The night was a hit and I can not thank everyone enough for coming out to support!*
What will you be picking up from Bobbi Brown’s Fall collection?
*A special thank you to everyone at Bobbi Brown and to the Chicago Blogger Network for supporting the event as well.

I’ve heard a lot about this line. Is it reasonable? I need to give it a try.
It’s a great line and worth the higher price point in my opinion. It is slightly higher than Mac yet not as expensive as say, Chanel. Their concealers are phenomenal and I’ve worn the Skin Foundation every day since purchasing it at the event and it’s fantastic! Another product worth the price is their Long-Wear cream shadows. I would suggest heading to a counter and testing out some products and getting some samples. Let me know if you try anything.
