Indochino’s Chicago Popup Shop + Custom Suit Giveaway

Ladies, who doesn’t love a man in a (great fitting) suit? But we all know how difficult it can be, sometimes, to get our loved ones excited about wearing a suit, which is typically viewed as uncomfortable, stuffy, and in most cases, expensive.

This is where Indochino comes in.

Indochino aims to revolutionize the custom suit process by making it easier and more affordable. Using a strictly internet-based retail store, consumers are able to create an online account, submit their measurements (yes, Indochino breaks down how to do that too) and shop away in the comfort of their own home.

The real draw, however, is the options available for customization. Of course lapels, vents, buttons and pocket choices are included. But details like functional buttonholes (which are also available in contrast stitching), suspender buttons, lining options and monogramming makes Indochino suits comparable to those of bespoke clothiers. Shirts can be customized with the numerous collar and cuff styles, monogramming and more; while the lining of your choice can be added to the great selection of blazers and trench coats. With suits starting at $379 and shirts starting at $79, there’s no need to break the piggy bank to obtain tailored clothing.

Luckily for Chicago, Indochino is making its way to the Windy City to host their first-ever U.S. popup shop!

The Traveling Tailor, held August 14 – 20, allows customers to book an appointment at the Great Hall in Union Station to get measured, feel the fabrics, walk through all of the customization menus and shop the wide array of accessories such as ties, pocket squares and cuff links with your own personal stylist. To seal the deal, Indochino will be providing a complimentary Suit Utility Kit with purchase.

Check out the video below to learn more about the extraordinary concept behind the Traveling Tailor.

This is the perfect opportunity to treat your loved one to an unforgettable suit-shopping experience. I say make a date out of it. I certainly will!

If you’re looking to stay up to date on the popup shop and all things Indochino, follow along on Facebook or Twitter.

To celebrate their Chicago invasion, Indochino is giving away a suit from their Essentials collection to one lucky ChiTown Fashionista reader. That’s right! A free custom suit for your favorite man.

To enter, tweet your answer to the following question:

Why do you love a guy in a suit?

Be sure to also include the hashtags #SuitUpChi and #TheRightFit so we can keep track of your entry.

I love a guy in a suit, because a suit can make any guy look classic, handsome and debonair.

  2. Blair says:

A suit shows dignity and class.

  3. Tukoi says:

A guy in a suit has taken the time to make a point about his image. Always a good thing!

  4. Jeanilyn says:

Men in suits look extremely sharp but in a well tailored suit they can look cool as ice.

I love a guy in a suit because it says he cares about how he looks and that he’s going places.

  6. Tiff says:

I love a guy in a suit because it speaks to time, knowledge of fine clothes and swagger (not swag). The way a suit hangs on a man a la Morris Chestnut leaves the ladies wondering what is under all that cloth 😉

  7. Jenna Z says:

A man in a suit looks so finished and polished, like he has somewhere to go and something to do!

  8. d pham says:

i love a guy in a suit because a well-tailored suit really accentuate a hot body.

  9. Tyler D says:

From the perspective of a man, I love being in a suit because of the image it allows me to convey. A suit is a bold statement of power and confidence. It’s proof that you can be anything you want to be, and you’ve taken the initiative to find your limits and exceed them. A man in a suit can inspire and intimidate at the same time. A suit allows a man to transcend the cultural boundaries that may have defined him otherwise. I love being in a suit because it is a reminder of the life I’ve been fortunate enough to make for myself, in light of the one I very easily could have chosen. I wore my first suit for a speech and debate competition in middle school, and I had no idea how it would change my life. Now I’m completing my senior year of college for one the best collegiate speech and debate programs in the nation and I still wear a suit every weekend. A suit took a child with no ambitions of attending college to a major university on a full ride scholarship. That’s my suit story and I guess I love seeing a man in a suit because I wonder what story he has hidden under it.

  10. Mama says:

Men always look good in a suit. They truly make a complete fashion statement.

  11. sylvia says:

Men in suits look Confident about themselves.

  12. nick says:

Because nothing suits me like a suit.

  13. Cal says:

I don’t love a guy in A suit. I love a guy in a well tailored suit. Like a clean shave and fresh haircut, a fitted suit showcases a man at his best, no matter what his profession. Presentation is everything; a well presented man demonstrates respect for himself, and gains the silent respect of others.
