We have come to the end of the “30 Days Of Lippy” challenge and I have to admit, the last 15 days proved to be much more difficult than initially anticipated. As I previously stated at the half-way point, I knew I owned a ridiculous amount of quite a few lip products. One would think a challenge like this would curb the need to purchase any more. However, I’ve discovered that I don’t own any true berry shades of lipstick nor do I own anything in gold. The fact that these are my thoughts at the conclusion of this challenge is a problem. It’s okay, you can judge me.
Just as a reminder, here were the rules:
I have to admit, I struggled a bit during the last half of the challenge (as you will see below, I used one lip product for two days). However, attempting my first ever two-toned lip and rocking a bold dark lip was so fun I’ve already tried other daring lip choices since ending the challenge. The options are endless!
Days 16 through 22 (left to right):
Day 16: Nyx (lip liner) “Hot Red” & Revlon “Siren”
Day 17: Wet N Wild “919B”
Day 18: Chanel “Cavaliere”
Day 19: Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss “Crystal Lilac”
Day 20: Rimmel by Kate “Rossetto”
Day 21: Jordana (lip liner) “Petal”
Day 22: Wet N Wild “919B”
I wrapped up the last 8 days with some favorites and discovered a new, never used lippy which has now become my go-to lipstick. It’s beautiful! That alone made this whole challenge worth it.
Days 23 through 30 (left to right):
Day 23: Elf plumping lipgloss “Mocha Ice”
Day 24: Smashbox “Melondrama”
Day 25: Nyx “Sweet Pink” (also used as my “Hot Pink”)
Day 26: Avon Lip Juice “Ripe Melon”
Day 27: Revlon “Black Cherry”
Day 28: Jouer Lip Enhancer Conditioning Treatment
Day 29: FAIL (As you can see, I’m in the market for a gold lippy…any suggestions??)
Day 30: Avon “Instant Mocha” (which looks nothing like it sounds!)
So there you have it. 30 days, 30 shades. All things considered, I think I did pretty well. Looking back on the month, I have to say day 4 was my favorite…I’ve always been partial to a bold red lip.
What was your favorite look from the challenge?

Love the idea. Gorg
))))
Thank you. It was so much fun!
Hi Nikia,
Great blog. Love the lipstick challenge. My colors seem a bit ho-hum now. Think I will refresh my collection.
Yes! Rita did a great job with this challenge. She put my sorry little 4-piece lipstick collection to shame! lol.
I have to say I love the look of that Instant Mocha! Haha Avon with your funny names! You definitely had a pair of the juiciest lips in the challenge! (Wait, does that sound kinda R rated?!) Sorry! But its true!
Thanks for bringing it to Chi-Town!
HAHA, thank you! The challenge really helped me to discover some very neglected lipsticks so thank YOU for the challenge!
Hey my middle name is your name & it’s spelled the same! lol anyway this is such a cool idea. Maybe I’ll try 5 or 7. No way I could do a month. I normally play up my eyes & do a nude lip until my friend gave me some MAC gloss she never wore in a mulberry tone. I felt so out my comfort zone but I like.
At least you tried it
If you want to get more comfortable wearing different lip colors, try wearing a bold lip around the house for a few hours, or just out running errands to help get you used to it. You’ll be rocking daring lips in no time! Thanks for reading! xo
