Operation: ChiTown Fashionista Facelift (and all those involved)

It is with great pleasure that I officially announce the completion of Operation: ChiTown Fashionista Facelift!

For months, I have been wanting to convert this site from Blogger to WordPress and give it a fresh look.  Don’t get me wrong. That gorgeous Roger Vivier shoe (which has been a part of my logo for 3+ years) and I have had some great times together. But I knew it was time to create an original logo that was all mine and a website layout that was clean and more professional.

So, I reached out to a team of experts to help make my vision for ChiTown Fashionista a reality.

For the logo, I commissioned the help of local graphic design artist, Carli Papp. Recommended to me by Antoinette of Authentic Noise, Carli was the first designer I found that possessed design skills that truly embraced the streamlined aesthetic  I was seeking.  She took my vague ideas and created a logo, branding sheet and business card design that far exceeded my expectations. The ChiTown Fashionista brand has never looked prettier.

For the Blogger to WordPress conversion, I reached out to Social Media Guru, Lovette Ajayi (aka Luvvie).  Luvvie has successfully completed this type of conversion so many times, I’m convinced she does it in her sleep! So, it was a no brainer asking her to upgrade ChiTown Fashionista to the world of WordPress.  Widgets, plugins and increased SEO are now at my disposal. Watch out world!

For the web design, I decided to pull a resource from the West Coast. I discovered Krystle Rowry when she began assisting Afrobella with video editing. Upon visiting the blog of this L.A. cutie pie, I immediately fell in love with her site’s layout. Then I found out she designed her site, among others. It was certainly an “Aha!” moment. After an initial consultation and 6 weeks of reviewing mockups, the new and improved ChiTown Fashionista layout was born!

Now that’s some serious #GirlPower, right?

Special thanks to these lovely ladies for making Operation: ChiTown Fashionista Facelift as smooth of a ride as possible and producing such amazing results!

So, what do you think of the new look?? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your feedback.
