As you know, there is nothing that excites me more than discovering a talented emerging designer. So, when Chicago-based designer Sheila Nkatha Oshuntuyi contacted me about her newly launched handbag line, MOTO, I was intrigued.

She offered to send over a handbag of my choice in exchange for an honest review.  The Enveudière clutch bag immediately caught my eye, with its rich butterscotch leather and lesso fabric trim.

The perfectly sized 11″ x 7″ envelope clutch is great for those days where you want to keep it light while still making a statement.

In regards to the construction, the sturdy leather and quality stitching ensures that this bag will last for more than a season. Visually,  the vibrant fabric is so striking, my only complaint is that the handbag isn’t reversible. Can you imagine how fabulous that would be?? Nkatha, please hear my cry.

Everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING is reasonably priced under $100 (with the exception of the laptop bag) and incorporates MOTO’s signature pairing of leather and lesso fabric, which explicitly displays the influence that Africa has on Nkatha’s designs. And with each item using a different cut of the printed fabric, no two bags are alike.
